The Alpaca Stud is home to over 600 quality suri and huacaya alpacas in West Sussex, carrying the world’s very best genetics.
Watching our herd of Huacaya and Suri quietly grazing some 300 acres of Sussex grassland is probably the nearest you will get to seeing alpacas farmed in a traditional manner and represent a true advert for the versatility of alpacas.
We believe we can demonstrate the opportunities the alpaca offers those individuals seeking a lifestyle change, as well as the more traditional farming businesses. Wherever possible we do try to manage both alpacas and land using organic farming principles, however animal welfare is our overriding priority and this ultimately dictates our daily management routine.
It is our belief that this extensive system allows our alpacas to be relaxed, and has led to what many visitors describe as, “the quietest alpacas they have walked amongst”.
All alpacas for sale, with the exception of wethers (sometimes called geldings), are sold with British Alpaca Society (BAS) registration as standard, and with a warranty and support that ensures the client’s peace of mind.
Our alpacas are all priced fairly according to quality and age. With any prospective client we will ensure that you understand the kind of animal you are buying, be it breeding female, stud male or pet. Our whole selling ethos is to ensure you get top value for your money, ensuring your success, and a long and healthy business relationship.
Any purchasers of alpacas from The Alpaca Stud will receive free lifetime support for their alpacas:
